3 offers iPhone to subscribers who threaten to leave
iPhone or iQuit!
If you throw your toys out the pram, 3 will lob them all back - with an iPhone
Mobile operator 3 is so desperate to hold onto subscribers that it's promising unhappy punters an iPhone in future. Will it happen?
It's always the complainers who get the best service.
According to TechEye magazine, mobile operator 3 will be the next UK network to gain rights to sell the iPhone. But it only seems to be offering it to people who threaten to leave.
A TechEye writer told 3 he wanted to leave the network. When asked why he was leaving, he reasoned that Vodafone offered an iPhone. The damage limitation executive for 3 then told him that by the time his contract runs out, in March, iPhones will be available to 3 customers.
The press office at 3 didn't outright deny that the iPhone would be making the rounds through their contracts, but didn't confirm it either.
What would this mean for the consumer if the iPhone does reach 3? More choice, of course, and we'd have our fingers crossed for even more competitive contracts and pricing across the iPhone networks.
