BBVA Compass One is first in the queue for mBanking iPhone Application
Mobile messaging and commerce vendor Sybase 365 has released a mobile banking application for the iPhone, which is available to banks through its mBanking 365 platform.
The new application is an instant mobile banking system for financial institutions, as it’s quick and easy to roll-out full-service banking services to customers, claims the vendor. Sybase claims its 365 manages the entire infrastructure.
Internet banking specialist BBVA Compass is one of the first adopters. It was quick and easy to manage the entire project and deploy all of the technologies, claimed Chris Causey, VP of the internet banking department at BBVA Compass. “This new service helps us retain and attract new customers, providing another avenue of banking for users beyond visiting branches, calling by phone, or accessing accounts via the Internet,” he said.
Customers can now check balances, view posted and pending transactions, transfer funds between accounts, and interact securely with bank representatives, using their iPhone.
Sybase 365 connects across all mobile banking channels, including SMS, mobile browsers and a downloadable mobile client. It works with 800 mobile operators world wide.
“For financial institutions, we’re a one-stop shop,” said Matthew Talbot, vice president, mCommerce for Sybase 365. “We provide software and expertise across all elements of mobile banking, and financial institutions can reach 100 percent of their mobile customers anywhere around the world.”
